Gemstock is well known amongst hardcore skiers and snowboarders for its challenging and exciting terrain. I am not a winter sports person but when i went up to Gemstock on the gondola and looked out to this view from the viewing platform, I could almost imagine and taste the adrenalin and spiritual high winter sports lovers must get. It is so humbling to be in the presence of these majestic peaks.
This is the most iconic and picturesque view of Andermatt’s old town.
This is the scariest view of Gemstock from its sister mountain Natschen. I am always so amazed to see how steep, narrow and sharp the piste turns are. When we were here 10 years ago, there was one lone Blue piste. Shortly after, it was officialy changed to a red. So Gemstock only has red and black pistes.
I love summer walks along the golf course in Andermatt to this breakthtaking view of the next village Hospental.
This is one of the most famous stream tucked away in a little rocky village in the italian part of Switzerland, The water in the stream is constantly cold even at the peak of summer and you can find many daredevils jumping off this bridge into the waters.
